The journal “Georgian Source-Studies{ was founded in 1965 on the basis of the Ivane Javakhishvili Institute of History and Ethnology. At that time it was a collection of one of the departments of this scientific institute where mainly were printed the articles oof the members of this department; accordingly, for the first stage, the goals of the journal were also modest. Even the term “source science” was understood with its relatively narrow means, as a specific research. With the development of the journal, the circle of its authors and themes also expanded. Since 2010, under the editing of Professors Giuli Alasania and Mariam Chkartishvili, “Source-studies” has been published as a wide-profile scientific journal. Under their leadership the editorial board was changed, new sections were added to the journal; was changed the traditional understanding of the term “Source-studies” with its more wide and comprehensive analysis of all types of sources.
After publication acceptance, authors are required to submit document where they give permission editorial board to retain copyright of the paper. This is very important thing in order to involve the journal in different scientific databases.
Publication of the paper in the journal is free of charge. Authors will receive one copy without payment.
